Thank you!

When I moved back to Shreveport, I had $20 in my pocket and four kids to care for. I had been a stylist for about 15 years at that point, but had to completely rebuild my clientele since the move was too far for clients to commute for appointments. I considered changing careers, but there was really nothing I could think of that I would like as much as hairstyling that would also give me the flexibility I needed having four kids that were under 15 years old. I decided to press on and stick with hairstyling and rebuild. It was so scary! In the beginning, there were weeks that I wasn't sure that I would be able to pay my bills, but somehow I got through that time. I have an amazing family that helped me tremendously and I am so thankful for that, but I wanted to be able to support my kids and myself on my own. I was able to build a clientele that have devotedly kept returning and that slowly grew to what it is today. Now I have my own salon! I am so grateful for every client that sat in my chair during that time and that continually comes back for their hair and also sends referrals! I am grateful that I have so many people who supported me from the beginning and put their trust in me month after month.

I have so many amazing people whom I am honored to call my clients. They inspire me daily and make me want to be a better stylist and a better human so that I can be worthy of them! I have clients who are business owners like myself who have given me so much help and advice while I was working on opening my shop and still help me if I ever have questions about self-employment. I have clients who work full-time raising their kids, many who homeschool their kids, and I love to hear updates of what they are up to. I have several clients who are doctors or nurses and work so hard for their patients. There are some who have non-traditional lifestyles who vulnerably share with me the struggles they face in society. I see people who have traveled the world, and I get to hear their amazing stories. I have clients who are artists, writers, and musicians who amaze me with their talents. Each and every day I come to work is so different, and my clients are very diverse. The common thread is that each of these amazing people has put their trust in me, and for this, I am eternally grateful.

Every person who sits in my chair is valued and brings their own unique flair.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I am looking forward to many more years with amazing clients!
